對于加工好的成品飾面石材，其質(zhì)量好壞可以從以下四個(gè)方面來鑒別：
一觀，即肉眼觀察石材的表面結(jié)構(gòu)。一般來說，均勻的細(xì)料結(jié)構(gòu)的石材具 有細(xì)膩的質(zhì)感，為石材之佳品；粗粒及不等粒結(jié)構(gòu)的石材其外觀效果較差。另 外，石材由于地質(zhì)作用的影響常在其中產(chǎn)生一些細(xì)微裂縫，石材最易沿這些部 位發(fā)生破裂，應(yīng)注意剔除。至于缺棱角更是影響美觀，選擇時(shí)尤應(yīng)注意。
二量，即量石材的尺寸規(guī)格，以免影響拼接，或造成拼接后的圖案、花紋 、線條變形，影響裝飾效果。
三聽，即聽石材的敲擊聲音。一般而言，質(zhì)量好的石材其敲擊聲清脆悅耳 ；相反，若石材內(nèi)部存在輕微裂隙或因風(fēng)化導(dǎo)致顆粒間接觸變松，則敲擊聲粗 啞。
四試，即用簡單的試驗(yàn)方法來檢驗(yàn)石材的質(zhì)量好壞。通常在石材的背面滴 上一小粒墨水，如墨水很快四處分散浸出，即表明石材內(nèi)部顆粒松動或存在縫 隙，石材質(zhì)量不好；反之，若墨水滴在原地不動，則說明石材質(zhì)地好。
